Best 2018 Acne Treatments Available

Acne is incurable, but it doesn't mean you will be having acne throughout your life. There are so many acne treatments, proven effective and available. As I shared acne myth and facts with you in my late blog posts. Once you take your acne problem to the doctor, he or she will ask for medical history or since how long you facing this acne issue and will try to diagnose the type of Acne. Treatment of acne differs on the basis of a type of your acne and etiology. Without eliminating the cause of your acne condition, you will never get rid of your acne.

We the humans are exposed to many toxins(crap) in a day. Our body starts to load with toxins internally as well as externally through many ways. The body gets rid of these through an elimination process via organs like liver, the lungs, kidneys, the colon, the skin which supports the elimination. Kidneys are the main organ plays important role in the elimination of toxins. The liver cleanses the blood and send the toxins to the kidney for further filter and get excreted from the body through urine or stool. When both kidney and liver did their work and if get overloaded they send the toxins to the skin. Skin releases toxin through sebum and sweats. The mixture of bacteria, sebum and sweat blocks the skin pore, makes the skin inflamed from inside and some other causes of acne are infections. Treatment of acne with medicine nowadays is they are not treating the root cause of acne instead providing superficial relief from the symptoms of acne. Some of the medicine gives a dry skin by suppressing the oil gland and underneath the bacterial infection.

Acne appearance takes place where Hormonal irregularities + Genetic tendencies + Toxins load = Acne; when either of these or all these exist in the body. For teenagers acne, mainly hormone disturbance is responsible, whereas in adults acne can be due to their genetic appearance or toxin build up. Unfortunately, genetics are not under your control and controlling bodies hormonal change is very difficult. Thankfully, toxin build-up is one of the main reason that contributes to acne can be controlled. Always keep in mind that what may work for one person but that same treatment may not work for others.

Laser treatment

Laser therapy is performed at doctor's clinic to treat mild to moderate acne or acne scars. Laser treatment claimed best for severe cystic acne and deep acne. Laser treatment works by heating hemoglobin in the blood capillaries beneath the affected acne or scar skin, which sheds the upper layer of skin, gives new healthy glowing skin.

Laser treatment is of 3 types and they are categorized based on color and wavelength of light:
1. Pulsed- dye lasers (PDL).
2. Potassium titanyl phosphate lasers (KTP)
3. Infrared Lasers
A laser emits intense monochromatic light, which has high-intensity on one and on other substance no effects of those light. Removal of blemishes through laser lights, the process called as photothermolysis. This laser treatment is also helpful to reduce future breakouts.

Laser treatment is way more costly than any other acne treatments, it makes far from ideal. In terms of duration to treat acne through laser requires more than two visits(at least three visits). Not this treatment option never give 100 percent of the result.

Laser treatment is preferably successful for the whiter skin as compared to darker skin. Likewise, more sensitive skin, less likely treatment to be successful. Laser treatment is not considered first-line treatment for active acne.
In some sensitive cases, patients experience pain and discomfort during the treatment. Some of the side effects are:
1. Redness and peeling
2. Crusting
3. Blistering
4. Bruising
5. Darkening of skin

Chemical peel

Chemical peels are the chemical based solution which forms a thin layer on your skin and removes off the old damaged skin so that new skin layers can grow over there. This solution contains
Chemical peels are categorized into three types based on acid strength are —1. Superficial 2. Medium 3. Deep peels. Superficial peels are used for the treatment of mild acne, medium peels used for the treatment of acne and mild acne scars, and deep peels are usually only used to treat permanent acne scars and hyperpigmentation(to lighten but not completely vanish).
Superficial peels are lower acids strengths than medium and deep peels. Most commonly used acids are Glycolic acid and Salicylic acids at a concentration of 10% to 30%.  Superficial peels are available at the medical store as over-the-counter and at an esthetician salon. To buy Superficial or OTC chemical peel online, check here Cosmoderm Professional Chemical Peel, Rejsol Under Eye Peel, and Glycolic Acid Peel with Kojic acid. These peels are recommended by renowned dermatologists at acne.org.

However, medium and deep peels could be used under the supervision of professional health care or provider.

Chemical peels in treating acne are more effective in people with lighter skin tone. Whereas, people with darker skin tone before using chemical peels for treating acne first need to consult with doctors. Then proceed carefully when it comes to a chemical peel.
Side effects:
1. Skin burn
2. Irritation
3. Small bumps (lasts for hours)
4. Bruising
In more sensitive case bleeding occurs.

Topical antibiotics

Antibiotic kills the bacteria, presents on the acne. This treatment of topical antibiotic will also depend on the cause of acne. Antibiotics prescribed by a doctor can often be an oral and topical antibiotic. On the matter of topical antibiotics, Clindamycin and erythromycin have become popular. If you have moderate to severe acne which has not got better with topical antibiotics then doctors choose treating acne with retinoids. Commonly prescribed retinoid by doctors includes Adapalene and Tretinoin. Here is the best retinoid cream prescribed by a physician and aesthetic https://amzn.to/2wXLrGV.

If you considering antibiotic treatment then make sure you complete your course despite missing any dose. There are evidence antibiotic reports failure and develop resistant if continued antibiotic treatment for longer. It means bacteria become immune to the effects of antibiotic over time and antibiotic fails to kill bacteria.

OTC Medications

OTC medication can treat mild acne. Most of OTC drug contains at least one of following ingredients.

  • Salicylic Acid
  • Sulfur
  • Benzoyl Peroxide
  • Glycolic Acid
Soaps commonly prescribed by the doctors is Perobar(Benzoyl Peroxide), Cetaphil Gentle Cleansing bar, and few more. These soaps efficiently clear the skin of excess oil and germs(bacteria) without drying out your skin too much. People who have sensitive skin type, use Cetaphil face wash or Cetaphil cleansing bar.

The scars from the previous acne linger on your skin, sometimes tends to get permanent. Treatment of scars is more or less related to acne treatment. When it comes to the treatment of acne, it's all about trial and error if you or your doctor couldn't find the cause of acne.

Dermabrasion and Microabrasion

Dermabrasion is the special treatment for facial skin, especially performed for the scar treatment. In dermabrasion surface layer of skin is skimmed with the help of an instrument. This is performed in the doctor's office. Dermabrasion is feasibly performed on all skin tones and texture, which is then cleaned thoroughly.

Daily regimen for good skin care will be shared with you soon. Till then stay glued with Eureka Of Life.

Best ways to protect your skin from summer

Hot summer or bikini season is here. Well! many of us are contemplating how we're going to protect our skin in this summer. Today, I'll be sharing few of the ways to protect our skin in a hot summer season. To enjoy summer perks along diligent routine, you need to protect your skin from dreadful sunrays as well as from UV rays. Afternoon summer heat stroke can be even more brutal to our skin and tan us.

Sun protection

It's not only sun damage your skin but also weather change leads to heat rashes, inflamed skin, and itchy skin, which is due to trapped sweat ducts. In summer, skin is more subjected to dehydration, therefore, skin care is quite important in a summer season.

1. Cover your face with fine cloth when out in the sun

Carry your scarfs during peak hours of summer days. Tieing a scarf on the face gives a protective shield from direct sun exposure as well as from pollution. For men, cover the face with a face mask.

2. Wear your Sunscreen

Stepping out in summer could be very difficult if considered sunburn, skin cancers, and other skin diseases. But thanks to the invention of sunscreen products, we no longer have to stress about getting the tanned skin or about aging. Protective shield to your skin is efficiently given by sunscreen, to avoid scorching bad sunrays hit to your skin. Application of sunscreen should be beyond your face.

#Tip: Apply Sunscreen at least before 30 minutes you step out from the house.

3. Avoid exercise at a high time

An ideal time to exercise is early in the morning or later in the evening during summer time. Exercise in high temperature during the summer days can leave you completely dehydrated and this may affect your health.

4. Avoid travelling in summer

If you are a traveller, plan your trip in calm or normal climate. If you travel in summer on its peak hours that will leave your skin tanned and skin burned, thereby which develops the risk of skin cancer.
Also, avoid trips to tropical climate during summer. Enjoy going to the cold places to save yourself with heat waves.

5. Stay in Shade

Hottest hours of the day in summer are in between 10 am to 3:30 pm. Keep yourself under shade during these hours.

6. Wear light color clothes

Ditch your overly dark, bright, complicated and heavy clothes to wear instead wear light colors( like yellow or white) clothes to make you cool. Use the fabric which not overheat you.

7. Try to cover your head from the direct sun

If you are insistent upon travelling to beaches, pools or deserts, despite from the direct sun you can cover head with a hat.

8. Put your eye protection glasses

Eyes are the delicate organ which needs to be protected with special attention. The skin around eyes are prone to faster aging if exposed directly to the sun, so wear sunglasses to prevent aging. If eyes get constant UV rays(especially UVB rays) exposure there increases chances of developing a cataract. So it's really very important not to only buy sunglasses but buy sunglasses with protection.

9. Stay Hydrated

How much water should be drunk to keep your body hydrated?? This is a pretty basic question and answer to this is, a normal healthy person should drink 8 glasses of water which is equal to approx 2 liters. As per the study conducted in Europe and published in 2011, about 20 percent of daily water in the body needs to come from fruits, vegetables, and other foods to stay hydrated naturally. If you not sure you're hydrated or not then please check your urine(check this article to know how your urine tells about your health)

Always carry a water bottle with you when travelling. If you have the desk job, always keep one water bottle right in front of your eyes to remind drinking water at regular intervals. Consume fruits that contain maximum water percentage to maintain hydration level on daily basis. Fruits like Watermelon, grapefruit, strawberries, peaches, pineapple, etc.

10. Cover most part of your body

To prevent from tanning and other skin damages, always wear full clothes like full sleeve t-shirt, full pants, and try to cover most part of your body in summer. If you heading to a beach, wear a wide-brimmed hat so that your head is covered and protected from UV rays.

11. Clean your face twice a day

A face is the most exposed skin part and gives the surface to bacteria and other pollutants to stay. Clean your face gently with mild face wash twice a day. Again use of face wash totally depends on your skin type. Check some good face washes here depending on skin types- https://amzn.to/2KMFMXg (for men), https://amzn.to/2jH04oQhttps://amzn.to/2JYZUny (for oily skin), https://amzn.to/2I0qpfW (for normal skin) https://amzn.to/2rswCpT (for all types of skin).

Gently pat your face with a cold cloth or mist during the daytime to soothe and leave face cleaned. Use face wipes during working hours and get refreshed by revitalizing your skin. Check here to buy face wipes- https://amzn.to/2rsU337

Exfoliation is the necessary step in skin care routine, especially in summer. Exfoliate the skin in morning before applying toner, moisturizer to give deep cleaning and do this twice a month for normal skin. After exfoliation of skin, don't forget to seal in moisture by applying a moisturizer over the body.

12. Shower after pool bath

Shower after swimming clears off irritants and chlorine from your body and protect your skin from itching and peeling.

Malaria— Sign and symptoms you should aware of

Well, the climate change is the mere representation of inviting parasitic infection. As we all know Monsoons are the epidemic season for Malaria. Over less period of time, malaria has become a significant global threat. To stop the spread of malaria in the area, everyone out there should aware of sign and symptoms of malaria so that treatment and precautions to be taken and reduce the spread of disease. Malaria is a serious blood disease caused by the single-cell parasite called Plasmodium parasite, which is spread from person to person by a particular type of mosquito.

Female mosquitoes only spread the malarial parasite. When a female mosquito bites a person who is already infected with malaria, and it carries the parasite which presents in the blood of that person. When that female mosquito bites it's next victims, accidentally injects the parasite into that person. This how malaria spreads.

Symptoms of malaria begin after 10 to 28 days after infection, in spite a person may feel ill as early as 7 days or as late as 1 year later. In case of a non-immune individual, symptoms usually appear in 10- 15 days after infection. The initial symptoms of Malaria include—

  • Fever (High Temperature)
  • A headache
  • Sweating
  • Shaking chills
  • Vomiting
More often patient get confused between Flu and Malaria because initial symptoms of  Malaria are quite same of Flu. As these symptoms are mild and make it difficult for the doctors to identify as Malaria.

Later, furthermore, symptoms include—
  • Body muscle pain
  • Generally unwell feeling
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Drop in blood pressure and dizziness
  • Loss of Appetite
Most serious Malaria is caused by Plasmodium falciparum and carried by Anopheles genus mosquitoes.

Malaria treatment

Other Complications

If immediate attention and treatment not taken then it can develop to severe and life-threatening complications like can result in any organ failure, enlargement of spleen, dry cough, and severe breathing issues.

Malaria if not treated can cause serious complications like Anemia, malarial parasites destroy RBC's (red blood cells) and they fail to carry enough oxygen to muscles and organs. Malaria can also develop jaundice because of loss of red blood cells.

Malaria in the rare case can affect the brain and develop cerebral malaria. Cerebral malaria is the condition in which malarial parasite attacks brain cells and cause them to swell and sometimes it leads to permanent brain damage.

If malaria is not treated promptly malaria parasite can cause infection over kidney and in a severe case can lead to kidney failure.

How to be sure of Malaria?

If you see these symptoms, it is advisable to get the blood test done. Early diagnosis of malaria and treatment of it reduces the risk of epidemic spread and prevent deaths. The surest way to diagnose malaria for your health care provider is by microscopic examination of a blood smear using Giemsa's stain. Another way to get sure is "Rapid Diagnostic Test for malaria". Unlike microscopy method, the rapid diagnostic test requires little training and the result is available after 15 to 30 minutes.

Is Malaria contagious?

Malaria is not contagious from person to person like flu or a cold and it's not sexually transmitted.

Malaria claims the lives of  4,55,000 people per year — 90 percent of those in Africa. The malaria vaccine is still under development as per scientists.

Recommendations:
Treatment of Dengue

Prevention of Diabetes

Preventions

  • As per WHO "Vactor control is the main way to prevent and reduce malaria transmission." Two forms of vector control- insecticide-treated mosquito nets and other one is indoor residual spraying.
  • Go-for full sleeve clothing, if you traveling to malaria-prone areas.
  • Stagnant water gives the breeding platform to mosquitoes, hence, not allow water to collect on any corner or puddles near your home during monsoons.

I hope you found helpful reading this post, thank you for your time. If you have any other helpful tips, queries or information about this disease, reach out to me by comments.

Types of Acne: Blackhead, Whitehead and Pimple

Welcome, all!!! By now, you know what are Acne myths and facts. Also Types of Acne: Blackheads, Whiteheads, and Pimples I discussed briefly on my last blog of Acne- Myths and Facts. Today, I will tell you the detailed description of Blackheads, Whiteheads, and Pimples. The types of acne are categorized into six different forms- Blackhead, Whitehead, Papules, Pustules, nodules, and cysts. Everyone seems to have flawless skin but some end up with those ugly blackheads or whiteheads or pimples, so let's understand the difference between them.

Comedo is a widened hair follicle, it is also called as Pore. Comedo is usually filled with keratin skin debris and oil to block the follicle. This Comedones(plural form of Comedo) can develop into whiteheads or blackheads or papules or pustules. The most common spots for the breakout is face, chest, upper arm and back. Acne Vulgaris is the medical name for usual acne. Most likely, Acne in women is caused due to hormonal changes such as those occurs during menstrual cycle or pregnancy.

https://eurekaoflife.blogspot.com/2018/03/types-of-acne.html
(Image used in the infographic sourced from Wikimedia, flicker, and canva)

Blackheads

Blackheads are formed when the pore or comedo is open which contains sebum inside the pore and get oxidizes with air this solidifies the sebum and when the air blends with melanin a skin pigment, a dark color pigmentation which forms blackheads. External Factors responsible for Blackheads are the use of Oil-based Cosmetics and moisturizer. Similarly, other external or environmental factors like pollutions, humidity, and grease in the working environment. Blackheads mostly appear on nose, chin, and forehead(the "T-Zone" of the face).

Whiteheads

In Whitehead, comedo is clogged due to sebum or bacteria or dead skin cells or cosmetic comedogenic products and remains closed at the surface of the skin which traps the pus (bacterial infection or mainly dead form of white blood cells) and this portion is covered by thin layer of skin. Actually, whiteheads are like push notification that body is attempting to put out an infection. Certain life events and stages can increases sebum production in pores, leads to the more oil production by the skin, the more likely they are to clog and create whiteheads. Makeup products labeled as "noncomedogenic" is less likely to clog pores and prevent acne.

Papules and Pustules

Usually, pimples are always been confused as another name of acne, but that's not the case- they are actually forms of acne which includes inflammation and classifies into two with a minute difference between them- Papules and Pustules.

Papules are small, elevated, red or inflamed that don't have pus inside. Due to body's natural defense mechanism, blood flow increases to this location. They are usually painless unless they are pricked or scratched.

Pustules are the small skin round lesion. You will notice they are red in color with a yellowish or whitish center. Pustules are one of the types of acne which contain pus inside and are usually painless even though inflamed.

They generally do not contain bacteria. While it may be tempting to pop a pustule, but I have to tell you one more time even though you heard it before; don't do it! You could end up with a permanent scar.

Nodules and Cyst

Nodules are tender, filled with blood initially then after pus, and feels solid in touch. Nodules are larger in size as compared to above forms. Nodules have the deeper root than papules or pustules. Nodules can remain under the surface of the skin for weeks or months and ultimately forms hard cyst-like structure.

Cystic acne is the most severe form of acne. Cystic acne is painful and deep bumps filled with pus. Cystic acne is large pus-filled lumps that look like boils. This acne carries the greatest risk of developing permanent scarring.

Cystic acne contains a bacterial infection which infects nearby follicles. This serious form of acne including nodular cyst needs to be evaluated by an immediate dermatologist and determine the best course of action for this type of acne.

He got bound to wheelchair and dependent for all his daily activity. He was expected not to live more than two years since there was no cure and treatment for ALS. But Hawking proved doctors wrong and survived more than half a century.

Hawking married on 14th July 1965 to Jane Wilde whom he met shortly just before the diagnosis of his motor neuron disease. The couple had three children and marriage broke down in 1991. Hawking moved on, after four years he got married to Elaine Mason, one of the nurses employed to give him round-the-clock care. The marriage lasted for 11 years, during which Cambridgeshire police investigated a series of alleged assaults on Hawking.

He received his doctorate degree in 1966. At the age of 37, Hawking became the  Lucasian Professor of mathematics at Cambridge University, arguably Britain's most distinguished chair, and a post formerly occupied by Isaac Newton, a father of Quantum mechanics.

In late 1970, Hawking's realized that black hole can only increase in size and never decrease in size. But Hawking went further. After a lot of studies, in 1974, Hawking drew quantum theory to determine the black holes are not totally silent but emit radiation, that concept is been named as Hawking radiation.

In 1985, Hawking suffered from a terrible chest infection, doctors asked his wife to withdraw his life support. But his wife refused for that and Hawking at Addenbrooke Hospital underwent a lifesaving tracheotomy operation. This operation saved his life but destroyed his voice. Afterward, he used a device to transform his voice by the movement of his cheek muscles(only muscle of right cheek working well). Since 1997 he used speech synthesiser to communicate in a computerised voice with an American accent. Then Intel developed sophisticated software which allowed Hawkins to check his mails, surf the Internet and write his lectures. He published all his books with the help of his speech device.

Hawking battled terribly his debilitating illness for 56 years until his death in 2018 at age 76.
Few of the best quotes by Stephen Hawking-

"We all are now connected to the universe just like neurons in the giant brain."

"Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change."

"God may exist, but the science can explain the universe without the need for a creator."

"I believe alien life is quite common in the universe, although intelligent life is less so. Some say has it has to appear on the planet."

"Work gives you meaning and purpose, and life is empty without it."

On 14th March, Stephen Hawking finally succumbed to the disease. His family stated, "He died peacefully". Coincidentally, 14th March 2018 is the 30th anniversary of Pi Day, which was created in 1988 organized by Physicist Larry Shaw. Shaw chose 14th march because 3.14 represents 𝜫 (Pi). Moreover, same day is the birthday of famous scientist Albert Einstein. So all this made Hawking's life a series of bizarre coincidences to the greatest Physicist.

Acne - Myths and Facts

When I was a teenager I had like the worst skin ever. I had big craters like pimples that on my cheeks,  which it was totally awful. I tried everything I could to get them to go away. Not only this, I use to get lots of advice, what I should do about it some are 'Wash your face frequently', 'Cut down your potato chips(my favourite timepass food)', 'Cut down on the chocolates', etc You will not believe that but I use to take this advice seriously and followed them. No positive results I have seen. So I knew a lot of acne myths out there and I have fallen the part for some of it. Basically, I tried every unsuccessful method to get rid of these acne problems. In this article, we will be clarifying the most common acne myths and corresponding facts about acne, which you must know for treating your acne successfully. So let's try to dispel some of this myths.

Myth: Tanning clears up acne

Fact: No it doesn't. Actual leading to this myth is when you have dark spots which the acne leaves behind then you stand out in the open sun, the whole skin gets dark, so the dark covers the dark. I recommend you to use sunscreen with at least SPF-15. Also make sure that if you have very acne prone skin, then use non-acnegenic or non-comedogenic sunscreen or zinc oxide based sunscreen.

Myth: French fries cause acne

Fact: You may have heard that eating too much greasy food can cause acne problem to you. Although it is important for your health to have a balanced diet, there is no scientific proof that eating greasy food directly can cause acne. An even recent study from American Academy of Dermatology as of 2007 has revealed that restricting greasy foods has not been beneficial for the people with acne. While you should probably keep consumption of french fries in moderation and greasy food have little or no effect on acne. Eating food high in oil doesn't mean that oil can make its way from your intestine, straight to your pores.

Myth: Popping a pimple can help clear it up

Fact: Many of teenagers has often told popping a zit can clear up your skin. But the fact is popping an acne can spread the infection to nearby skin and make matter worse. Don't touch your pimples with unwashed hands. Constant touching your acne can inflame your skin and can contribute to spreading of bacteria and aggravating acne condition.

Myth: Acne occurs due to the unhygienic issue

Fact: It's of the most common myths about acne perpetuated. If you keep your skin dirty or not removing makeup and it stays there overnight there then it can aggravate existing pimples. In fact, it has been medically proven that acne is not a hygiene issue. Not only this, frequent washing of the face and aggressively scrubbing your face can make acne breakout much worse.

Myth: Using same brand soap for years can cause acne

Fact: This another myth where some say using same brand soap for years can make your skin rough and probably prone to acne. Although acne may occur due to other specific reason blame goes to the soap which might be perfect for skin.

Myth: Toothpaste can heal a zit

Fact: Toothpaste can dry pimples out, but it's not made for your skin. So it can cause irritation and rashes. I will suggest if you have sensitive skin like mine don't go for this option ever.

Myth: Cleansing and exfoliation of the skin hard can rid off acne

Fact: Totally false. If you would be Harsher on your skin the more obnoxious it will be. Handle your skin of face with more gentle than any other thing. Exfoliation removes the build-up of dead skin cells on your skin. Compounds like sulfur, benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid; reduces swelling, redness and absorbs excess oils. But over-exfoliating skin can cause more harm than good to your skin. So if you don't want further acne, make sure you can exfoliate only twice a week.

Myth: Acne problem happens only to the teens

Fact: This is probably the biggest acne myth. It's true that acne takes place due to hormonal fluctuations in the body. Though it's probably not much comfort for teens, it's still a myth that they are only ones to experience acne. In fact, Acne can happen at any age, even in the 30s, 40s, or 50s.

Myth: Acne goes on its own😐

Fact: This is one of the foolest myth that people tell but the dermatologist all over the world, says it is best to treat acne in its early stages with the right product. This helps to prevent future breakouts.

Myth: All acne is of the same type

Fact: There are actually different types of acne and it is important to know each type of acne in order to treat this acne. The two main categories of acne are non-inflammatory and inflammatory acne.
Under non-inflammatory acne type, two different sub-categorized acne includes- Blackhead and Whitehead. On the other hand, inflammatory acne includes- Papules and Pustules. To explain this types of acne and their treatment options I will be discussing in my upcoming post. So stay tuned with Eureka Of Life.

Myth: Sex causes acne

Fact: This an old-age myth. This an idea dating back to the 17th century which was put to a dissuade young couple from having sex before marriage.😏 But this technique won't work for today's generation. There is no evidence to substantiate the claim.

Myth: Chocolates cause breakouts

Fact: Chocolates have no relation to your acne but do have a direct relation to blood glucose. Actually, there are a few shreds of evidence that specific foods actually do cause acne. Well designed clinical studies in the future will establish the real role of diet as a causative factor for acne. Currently, I will recommend everything in moderation.

Myth: Stress produces the acne

Fact: Not completely false, but also not completely true. Stress alone doesn't cause acne. While excess stress can aggravate the acne production, but stress alone is not the major causative factor for acne. The acne-flareups that result from stress is due to hormonal changes.

Myth: Smoking does not have any impact on acne

Fact: Another of the little-known fact is that cigarette smoking does have an impact on acne. Numerous studies have now established that smoking does have an impact on acne and can actually worsen acne's severity.
